How the civil ceremony works at Vaughan City Hall
The City of Vaughan holds civil marriage ceremonies in the Garden Room at Vaughan City Hall, 2141 Major Mackenzie Drive, and parking is free for guests. In the summer months the ceremony can be held in the garden just outside the Garden Room; it is not covered, so it depends on the weather, and you request it during your consultation. Ceremonies are booked in advance, and you must have an Ontario marriage licence before the ceremony. Once you book, an officiant contacts you for a required pre-ceremony consultation. Weekday ceremonies are booked online; weekend and evening ceremonies are arranged by contacting the Clerk's office. The couple must speak and read English or bring an interpreter, who completes the City's interpreter certificate.

Vaughan's ceremony package offers three vow options, and you can insert custom vows between the declarations the Ontario Marriage Act requires.
