Privacy Policy

You can browse HalalBiz without an account. We only collect personal information you choose to send us:

• Contact form: your name, email, topic, optional business name and message.
• Add your business and the Marketplace waitlist: the business and contact details you enter.
• Community Notes: your name, email and note. Only your name and the note are shown publicly. Your email is never published.
• Featured payments: handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation of the payment, but we never see or store your card details.

• To answer your messages and set up or update listings.
• To review and publish Community Notes.
• To email Marketplace waitlist members about the Marketplace launch.
• To keep the site secure and prevent spam and abuse.

We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't send marketing email you didn't ask for.

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you personally. HalalBiz doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies.

We use these providers to run the site, and they process data on our behalf:

• Vercel (hosting and analytics)
• Supabase (database)
• Web3Forms (delivers contact, listing and waitlist forms to our inbox)
• Stripe (Featured payments)
• Mapbox (maps) and Google (business reviews shown on listing pages)
• Cloudinary (images)

Some of these providers store data outside Canada, including in the United States.

We keep messages and form submissions only as long as we need them to respond or run your listing. Published Community Notes stay up until they're outdated or you ask us to remove them.

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to remove a note or listing you submitted. Email support@halalbiz.ca and we'll reply within 30 days.
